Executive Committee Reports

Reported on potential HPV vaccine mandate. PTA does not support a mandate for vaccine. Presidents must have representation at council meeting
Special Committees
Motion to form a nominating Committee. Went to ballot. Ballots counted by Council Recording Secretary Shanon Tranchina. Second count by Traci Stabile, Lockhart PTA President. Nominating committee consists of Marion Murphy, Kristine Magnifico, Gina Cutter, Kaitlyn Beleckas, Angela Grisanzio, Stacey Saieva, Cher Lepre, Lori Verdone, Donna Scheur. Marion Murphy voted to committee Chairperson. Tally and ballots attached to master copy of the minutes.
Guest Speaker
Mrs. Ferraro, McKenna Assistant Principal, presented for McKenna. McKenna is involved in giving back by supporting charities such as Childhood Cancer day, world cereal day, starting a sock donation for the December holidays.
Standing Committee Reports
Mrs. Domenech Teacher Rep reported – Peter King came to HS to discuss how the government works. Berner had veterans come to share personal stories. Thanksgiving, all schools have rapid dismissal. Teacher spoke about vaccine mandates. National BLACK OUT DAY. Keep kids home and show up to your legislator’s office.

Erik Gustafson, BOE Rep, presented BOE report. Report attached to master copy of minutes.
Andrea Ferrari, chair of Curriculum Committee, presented report. Presented a plan of work. Plan of work attached to master copy of minutes. Motion by Luz Bove to accept plan of work. Voted and Approved.
Gina Cutter and Licia Millman, co-chairs of Health, Wellness & Safety committee, presented report. Taking a stance against HPV mandate. Will prepare a stance to send out to all Presidents to vote on accepting stance against a mandate. Report attached to master copy of minutes.
